by Brianna Crandall — November 7, 2018 — nVent Electric, a global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, will be launching the Elexant family of next-generation controllers at the beginning of next year. Further strengthening the nVent RAYCHEM portfolio of thermal electrical solutions and developed with a focus on enhanced connectivity and data integration, the Elexant family provides advanced control and monitoring for process heat management in industrial, commercial and residential applications. The first products of the smart, connected series will be available early 2019 to customers in North America, followed soon after in the rest of the world.

Beth Wozniak, nVent’s chief executive officer, stated:

The launch of Elexant controllers is a testimony to nVent’s ongoing commitment to expand its capabilities and create solutions that address the safety, energy efficiency and reliability requirements of our customers today and tomorrow. Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things are driven by automation and data exchange, in which interactive system communications play a vitally important role. The Elexant family is designed to collect and integrate all data into one network and to provide customers easy-to-use interfaces and full visibility of their assets. This allows them to use data-driven insights to make more informed decisions and protect what matters most to them.

The new smart monitoring and control solutions will feature intuitive designs for an enhanced user experience. Flexible communication options will help customers to easily integrate Elexant controllers into their existing facility, allowing open communication between systems. As a result, operators can achieve a lower cost of ownership and improve reliability, making operations in the field easier and more productive than ever before. The Elexant solutions will have international approvals for usage in projects around the world.

Brad Faulconer, president of nVent Thermal Management, remarked:

Working directly with our customers to understand their needs allows us to design solutions that help them to stay ahead of the curve and at the top of their respective industries. The launch of the Elexant family of smart solutions marks a significant breakthrough in next-generation technologies for connectivity and protection to maximize operational reliability, control and safety.
