by Jbs082310e3 — August 25, 2010—Nydree Flooring recently announced it has obtained FloorScore certification for its acrylic-impregnated wood flooring products. The certification confirms that Nydree Flooring products meet the stringent low-emitting materials credit (IEQ credit 4.3) in the current LEED rating system.
Nydree reportedly already met the low-emitting material credit under the chamber testing portion of CA Section 01350 and ASTM Standard Guide D 5116-06. The company says the FloorScore certification goes farther, validating Nydree’s internal manufacturing processes.
FloorScore, developed by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) in conjunction with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), tests and certifies hard-surface flooring and flooring adhesive products for compliance with rigorous indoor air quality emissions requirements. Products bearing the FloorScore label meet the indoor air emissions criteria of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), LEED Green Building Rating Systems, and Green Guide for Health Care.
