OFM unveils new educational and ADA-compliant furniture designs

by Shane Henson — December 9, 2013—OFM, an office and school furniture manufacturer, distributor, and wholesaler, showcased several new product designs at the annual EdSpaces show (formerly the School Equipment Show) held in early December in San Antonio, Texas, that may appeal to facilities managers within and outside of education facilities in need of new furniture products.

EdSpaces attendees were able to view chairs in the new ORO Series Executive Seating line, such as the Executive High-Back Body Bolster Multi-Task Chair and the Executive Big and Tall Conference Chair. The chairs feature an adjustable, tuck-away tablet with slip-resistant coating, making them an ideal seating option for those who wish to have desk capacity while using their iPad, Smartphone, or other portable device. With the ORO Series, the concept of a traditional desk is obsolete, the company says.

Endure Series Adjustable Height (AT) Tables are ideal for cafes and break rooms.

OFM also displayed its new Endure Series Adjustable Height (AT) Tables, which the company says are perfect for café seating or break rooms. The tables are made out of industrial-grade metal, complementing the Endure Series Stools that the company launched last year. The tables come in square and round shapes of 30 to 42 inches. A separate Endure Series Adjustable Height Table Base is also available.

In addition, OFM showed off its Marque Reception ADA Desk, which the company says is fully ADA compliant and can serve as a stand-alone desk for those requiring wheelchair access. The desk features a thermofused melamine-finished self edge, with a standard silver frame or a special-order black frame. Featuring a 21.50″ work surface height and a 47.25″ interior work space, the desk can also attach to current Marque Reception stations.
