OSHA announces opening of new area offices in three states

by Brianna Crandall — September 15, 2010—The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has announced the opening of four new area offices in Las Vegas, Nevada; Phoenix, Arizona; and San Diego and Oakland, California.

The new area offices are intended to improve OSHA service to workers and employers, strengthen enforcement, and enhance coordination and oversight of the state plan in each location.

Employers and workers with questions regarding workplace safety and health standards can call OSHA’s area office in Las Vegas at 702-388-6150, in Phoenix at 602-514-7250, in San Diego at 619-557-5030, or in Oakland at 510-637-3800, or the agency’s toll-free hotline at 800-321-6742 to report workplace accidents, fatalities or situations posing imminent danger to workers.
