Previously only available to IAOP members electronically, the latest OPBOK Version 9 reflects major updates from IAOP of the commonly accepted best practices and skills required to ensure outsourcing success around the globe. It is the basis for IAOP’s Certified Outsourcing Professional qualification and certification programs.

Among the topics covered are: governance and defining a strategic approach to outsourcing, governance, identifying and communicating business requirements, selecting and qualifying providers, gaining internal buy-in, creating project teams, and getting value for money and return on investment.

The Outsourcing Professional Body of Knowledge book with templates is available from the Van Haren Publishing Web site. It is also being sold in the U.S. through Bernan publications, Amazon.com, and others.

Van Haren also publishes the IAOP-endorsed eSourcing Capability Models set of titles covering the Information Technology Services Qualification Center (ITSqc) best practices. These are also available on Van Haren’s Outsourcing and Contract Management publications page.
