May 10, 2004—Outsourcing Center, a professional source of information on all aspects of outsourcing, announced the seven 2004 winners in the Outsourcing Excellence Awards (formerly Editor’s Choice Awards) at a recent ceremony in Houston in conjunction with Sourcing Interests Group’s conference.
A panel of industry experts selected winners of the prestigious 2004 awards sponsored by Outsourcing Center, Everest Group and Forbes after a rigorous review of all components of relationship structures and outcomes achieved among the 100 nominations.
According to Peter Bendor-Samuel, CEO of Outsourcing Center and its parent company, Everest Group, U.S. political debates on offshoring have built a mistaken perspective on outsourcing.
“Only a small piece of the outsourcing industry involves the benefits of offshoring,” said Bendor-Samuel, recognized worldwide as an outsourcing thought leader. “The awards process studies best practices and trends in how leading companies use outsourcing to achieve competitive advantage. These relationships clearly demonstrate the best leverage of outsourcing’s benefits to achieve business goals.”
Stories of the winning and runner-up relationships will be published in the June and July issues of Outsourcing Journal and in the June 7 issue of Forbes.
The seven winning relationships are:
- Best Partnership:
- Most Transformational Relationship:
