by Brianna Crandall — April 27, 2018 — Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI), a supplier of power distribution and monitoring solutions for data centers, recently announced the market availability of its WaveStar Infinity Monitoring System. The new offering provides advanced power distribution equipment monitoring and metering for accurate data center business decisions based on real-time energy management information.
PDI says it continues to set the mission-critical power metering and monitoring bar high with the availability of its new WaveStar Infinity Monitoring. The new system provides end-to-end power reliability by combining real-time data collection, advanced visualization, and detailed alarming with revenue-grade metering accuracy that meets or exceeds the requirements for a wide range of targeted applications, including fault detection, power quality analysis and colocation tenant billing.
Michael Condon, director, Engineering (Software & Monitoring Solutions), PDI, stated:
Downtime is not an option for any data center facility where operations need instant and constant access to a facility’s power equipment status. With WaveStar Infinity’s real-time sensing, measuring and reporting, data center managers have instant access to facility performance metrics on their desktop or mobile devices.
The WaveStar Infinity is compatible with PDI’s PowerPak Remote Power Panel (RPP) , Modular Compact Remote Power Panel (MCRPP) and both PowerPak2 and PowerHub 2 Power Distribution Units (PDUs) to provide metering and monitoring of key electrical and equipment performance measurements including:
- Voltage
- Current
- Power
- Frequency
- Power Factor
- Temperature
- Breaker Position
