November 5, 2007—Philips Lighting Company, a division of Philips Electronics North America Corporation, an affiliate of Royal Philips Electronics, has introduced a new family of Halogena Energy Advantage lamps. Delivering crisp, bright light, long life, and 30-38% energy savings over traditional incandescent technology, Halogena Energy Advantage bulbs are offered in a variety of shapes and wattages and represent a powerful, energy-efficient, and unprecedented new green lighting solution for the professional lighting market, according to the company.

Ideal for use in table and floor lamps, recessed cans, track lighting, and general lighting fixtures, Halogena Energy Advantage lamps enable commercial, retail, institutional, and hospitality users to reduce energy consumption and energy costs without sacrificing the quality of the light in their spaces.

Available in 40 Watt, 50 Watt, and 70 Watt traditional shapes as well as a 40 Watt flood light model, these products offer a rated average life of 3,000 hours, deliver the same light output as their higher-wattage incandescent equivalents, and serve as significantly more energy-efficient alternatives to incandescent options, says Philips.

Designed around traditional lamp shapes to maximize compatibility with current incandescent lamp and fixture styles, the bulb delivers bright, white, high-quality halogen light that enhances the look, feel, and ambiance within a space. Requiring no warm up time, as CFLs do, the bulbs feature instant light and are fully dimmable for maximum versatility and design flexibility. The bulbs are also mercury free, promoting sustainable and environmentally-conscious design, and are packaged in distributor-friendly quantities to promote ease of stocking and handling.
