by Ann Withanee — September 9, 2011—Pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk has selected Planon Software Inc. to optimally manage all of the Danish company’s North American corporate facilities and 1,200 employees. Its goals were accomplished by implementing the Planon Solutions Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) programs.

The range of Planon Solutions’ Integrated Workplace Management Solution (IWMS) software played a critical part in upgrading Novo Nordisk’s facilities and real estate management: Space Management; Move/Adds/Changes; Asset Management; Reservations, integrated to personnel data and access management system; and Planon Self-Service, for employee requests.

Planon’s IWMS is helping the pharmaceutical giant to optimally manage all North American corporate workspaces to provide efficient service delivery to 1,200 employees. Another important consideration in the overall planning was the environment.

Global parent Novo Nordisk/a> also depends on Planon systems to manage its facilities in Denmark, where it supports 13,500 employees. Key priorities for Novo Nordisk include efficiently and transparently managing highly dynamic workspaces, empowering staff to request and receive resources, and effectively forecasting future facilities requirements.

Such detailed planning invariably boosts the corporate bottom line and productivity, and facilities executives are finding IWMS programs an invaluable tool on two strategic levels: while pursuing their quest for making environments green and sustainable, the need for excellent customer service is also addressed. IWMS solutions reportedly benefit the corporate entity, enhance the productive well-being of employees, and contribute to the conservation of environmental resources.
