by AF 0214 i3 — February 17, 2010—A third of property professionals are unaware of the dangers of mold in buildings, a new poll has revealed. The e-poll, conducted by property security and management company SitexOrbis in collaboration with Excel Publishing, asked respondents a number of questions on the nature and dangers of mold in buildings.
Just 67 percent knew that 90 percent of mold is below the surface. A third was unaware that mold has a “root” system within the structure of the building, and that visible mold is there to spread spores and allow the mold to reproduce.
