by Brianna Crandall — March 30, 2012—PPM Technology, a specialist gas detection and indoor air quality instrumentation manufacturer based in Wales, the United Kingdom, has developed a range of multiparameter indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring equipment, including its newest instrument, the “Touch Screen” IAQ Profile Monitor.

PPM Technology advises that in order to accurately understand a building’s indoor air quality, various IAQ parameters must be simultaneously monitored, including gases, temperature and humidity, in various locations throughout the building.

Like the company’s Wireless IAQ Profile Monitor and its compact Mini IAQ Profile Monitor, PPM Technology’s new “Touch Screen” IAQ Profile Monitor sends the collected IAQ data wirelessly to the control personal computer(PC)/laptop in real-time; a large number of units can be networked together to enable accurate monitoring of an entire building.

The PPMonitor software enables the data to be viewed graphically, and allows the user to produce reports and statistical data, and to run schedules as well as alarm functions and notifications, for more effective and economical building management.

The “Touch Screen” IAQ Profile Monitor is a stand-alone IAQ monitoring unit capable of continuously monitoring up to seven IAQ parameters. Unlike its counterparts, it is built with an integrated “touch screen” panel, which allows the user to navigate through the various sensors simply by touching the screen.
