by Rebecca Walker — October 20, 2010—Priority Power Management, LLC, a Texas-based independent energy management and consulting services firm, has successfully negotiated and secured a new electricity supply contract for several Healthcare Coalition of Texas member healthcare organizations resulting in estimated savings of more than $10 million during the next three years.
Together, these hospitals will benefit from the economies of scale through the Committed Energy Program designed by Healthcare Coalition of Texas and will access expertise through a strategic partnership formed with Priority Power Management.
“We attribute the success of our Committed Energy Program and its ability to maximize our owners’ savings directly to their high level of commitment,” said Geoff Brenner, president and CEO of Healthcare Coalition of Texas. “By demonstrating the benefits of a well-organized, committed group purchase, coalition members will save millions of dollars annually on their electricity purchases.”
Over the past year, Healthcare Coalition of Texas has engaged Priority Power Management to develop and deploy an energy sourcing strategy customized for participating coalition members.
