by Brianna Crandall — February 11, 2015—For facilities and cleaning professionals searching for a lightweight vacuum to use for quick cleanups, ProTeam, recognized for its innovative vacuum technology, has added a six amp-hour (6Ah) battery option for the GoFree Flex Pro cordless backpack vacuum.
The standard 12 amp-hour (12Ah) battery gives users approximately one hour of runtime with two and a half hours to fully charge. The 6Ah battery will offer a 30-minute runtime, suitable for detail cleaning or light duty, with one and a half hours to charge.
“Our goal is to make the gains of cordless efficiency available to the entire industry,” said ProTeam Director of Marketing Jacalyn High. “The latest field tests show productivity gains of 40 percent from using the GoFree Flex Pro in a cleaning system. By offering two battery options with different weights and runtimes, we hope to give cleaning pros more options to integrate cordless technology into their work.”
The GoFree Flex Pro improved upon its predecessor, the GoFree Pro, with a more efficient motor, reducing the weight of the unit by 14 percent. The 6Ah battery option will reduce the weight of the GoFree Flex Pro even further, bringing it to 23 percent lighter than the original GoFree Pro.
Both vacuums offer greater efficiency by setting cleaners free from the restriction of a cord, notes ProTeam, which the company believes is the direction the industry is moving.
The FlexFit articulating harness creates a secure, body-friendly fit, increasing range of motion and reducing fatigue. Four Level Filtration w/HEPA captures 99.97 percent of particulates 0.3 microns or larger, including fine carbon dust from the motor, for improved indoor air quality (IAQ).
ProTeam reportedly introduced a game-changing design innovation in 1987—the lightweight backpack vacuum. Scientific studies and maintenance crews consistently find ProTeam vacuums save time, money and resources while improving IAQ, says the company. In 2009, Emerson—a diversified global manufacturing and technology company—acquired ProTeam, and the legacy of innovation continues with the next generation of backpack vacuums, the Super Coach Pro and the cordless GoFree Flex Pro.
