by Brianna Crandall — May 13, 2011—Members of L’Association Professionnelle des Designers d’Intrieur du Qubec (APDIQ) recently voted for the organization to become a full member of the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), becoming the eighth provincial interior design association to do so. IDC is the second largest association of interior design professionals in Canada.
As a provisional member of IDC, APDIQ has been preparing for membership in the national association for the past two years. As of January 1, 2012, APDIQ members will enjoy full membership rights and benefits, while strengthening the voice of the interior design profession both nationally and internationally, says IDC.
By joining IDC, APDIQ members have voiced their commitment to uphold the education, experience and examination standards set by the national association, including a requirement to take the NCIDQ exam.
