Ascent Navigator is a data center operations and infrastructure management resource, backed by Ascent’s managed services and capable of integrating with multiple building management systems and building automation systems.

The data center infrastructure management (DCIM) functionality of Navigator covers the IT aspects of the data center, and the data center operations management (DCOM) functionality covers the facilities aspects, including maintenance management, equipment asset management, work order tracking, PR/PO invoice tracking, and workflow automation.

Ascent’s Web-enabled platform provides users with real-time information on customizable widgets that display metrics on activity status and spend related to preventive, demand/corrective and emergency maintenance, performance scorecards, site and asset details, as well as visual maps for quick identification of sites with emergency situations. Users can access IT infrastructure such as rack and cable management and, within a few clicks, run reports on assets, work and contract details, work order trends, executive portfolio and administrative reports.

Tuangru partnership

Through the Tuangru partnership, Ascent is now able to offer customers a “Day One” integrated solution for managing both critical facilities systems and IT assets.

Robert Painter, president of Ascent, stated:

With Tuangru’s RAMP DCIM agentless discovery technology, attractive pricing model, and growing adoption across data centers globally, we are excited and proud to offer RAMP as an offering under the Navigator platform. Together, our businesses are strategically aligned to help customers who are struggling to identify the right fit, justify funding or lean on an implementation team to roll out a DCIM tool and an operations and maintenance system for real-time visibility of critical infrastructure sites, systems and IT assets.

Jad Jebara, president and CEO of Tuangru, added:

Ascent and Tuangru’s integrated software platform delivers end-to-end management across the critical, facility, IT and virtual layers. We’re confident data center operators will find our joint solution to be unparalleled in the market.
