by Brianna Crandall — April 16, 2012—Nashville-based KJB Security Products Inc., wholesale manufacturer and distributor of spy and security equipment, has redesigned its acclaimed hidden video system, the Recluse Black Box by SleuthGear. Like its predecessor, the newest version of the Recluse Hidden Video is an ordinary-looking black box that blends into almost any background.

According to KJB, the Recluse Black Box can be used practically anywhere, including keeping an eye on any activity in the office after hours. The enclosed DVR (digital video recorder) and camera blend well into any environment, so the device can record the action without attracting attention.

The redesigned Recluse now features advanced invisible infrared sensors capable of capturing suspicious activities in challenging low-light situations, or even in total darkness.

The Black Box also performs longer and more efficiently by utilizing built-in heat sensors that activate the recording unit only when motion is detected, allowing for longer battery life.

The unobtrusive Recluse Black Box can be further camouflaged under a pencil cup or similar item.

In addition to greater versatility, the new Recluse also provides more storage space, with expanded SD (Secure Digital) card storage from 32Gb to 64Gb.

The Recluse hidden video recorder is part of KJB Security Products’ exclusive line of SleuthGear surveillance products, which the company says is relied upon by professionals while designed to be used by average citizens. Other SleuthGear products include hidden cameras in a clock radio, a mantel clock, and iPod dock, and a rectangle clock.

The products are backed by KJB’s industry leading customer service department, which is said to have a reputation of customer satisfaction.
