by Rebecca Walker — February 18, 2009—The Refinishing Touch, a world leader in on-site, environmentally friendly furniture refinishing and reupholstery to governmental agencies, universities, hotels, and resorts, has completed several new hotel projects in Arizona, Georgia and Washington state.
The projects included armoire modification, granite installation, refinishing, and reupholstering for Hilton Atlanta Northeast, Hilton Bellevue, and Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort— three hotels that have undergone room refurbishment as part of Hilton’s ongoing initiatives to maintain its world-class reputation and leading standards for the tens of millions of guests it welcomes every year.
The armoire modifications reflect changes across the hospitality industry as hotel brands adapt to the changing technology and styles. Analog television signals will be discontinued across the United States in 2009, so hotels are investing in new widescreen digital televisions. The Refinishing Touch has completed 20,000 armoire modifications in the last year, modifying them into beautiful custom pieces on-site and cost-effectively, says the company.
Consideration for environmental and sustainable solutions extend to The Refinishing Touch’s upholstery and refinishing methods, which are all created and delivered with the immediate environment and the global environment in mind. The company’s patent-pending finishes are odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable and environmentally friendly.
The Refinishing Touch also provides its furnishings to other Hilton Family hotels including various Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn and Hampton Inns & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and Homewood Suites by Hilton.
To date, the company has transformed over 1.5 million rooms of furniture and renewed life of the customers’ existing furniture, saving it from the landfill. For more information, see the Web site.
