RegScan online compliance management platform now supports ISO, OHSAS international standards

by Brianna Crandall — July 27, 2015—Facilities directors of multinational corporations concerned with compliance with international environmental, operations and health and safety regulations may be particularly interested in the recent announcement by Pennsylvania-based RegScan, Inc., that key environmental and safety standards are now supported on the RegScan One online compliance management platform.

ISO and OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) standards serve as a complementary piece to the global legal registers and audit protocols already available, explains RegScan. Users of the RegScan One system can create custom legal registers and audit protocols for more than 140 jurisdictions around the globe.

Through the applicability feature, RegScan One users can easily filter out audit questions that do not apply to them. After they import their customized content to My WatchList, it will automatically be monitored for changes.

“An essential element of compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards is the requirement that you maintain a legal register,” said Ned Ertel, president and CEO of RegScan. “With the launch of the Tailored Standards Collection, RegScan has truly become a one-stop shop in terms of staying compliant with global environmental, health and safety regulations as well as internationally recognized standards for operations and safety.”

RegScan has the ability to create custom standards packages for any client who wishes to license ISO and/or OHSAS standards as part of their data subscription. With the anticipated update to the existing ISO 14001 standard expected in September, the ability to access the most current versions will become even more crucial, the company points out.

Standards are available for an annual license fee and will be hosted within the RegScan One platform. The documents are easily viewable when working with regulations, statutes, or legal registers, notes RegScan. Normal costs associated with standards plus a hosting fee will apply.
