by Brianna Crandall — March 16, 2015—Global construction cost consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has published its biennial International Report: Construction Market Intelligence: First Quarter 2015, which provides a half-yearly snapshot of construction market conditions and price movements around the world, via commentaries and analysis from RLB directors in key locations.
RLB’s report indicates that as of February 2015, the group’s International Construction Cost Relativities highlights New York, Honolulu and London as the three most costly cities globally in which to build. On the same index, the most expensive cities regionally are Hong Kong, Darwin and Doha, when looking at Asia, Oceania and the Middle East, respectively.
The report offers a broad overview of global construction economic issues, a table of historical and forecasted movements in RLB’s Tender Price Index for 53 key cities, key regional statistics, insights from the RLB Construction Activity Cycle model in each location, construction rate ranges for different key building types in cities within each region, and more.
RLB collects and collates current construction data and forecast trends on a global, regional, country, city and sector basis, and publishes key industry intelligence publications throughout the year, including more detailed sector and city/country information than is published within the International Report.
The firm’s newly published regional or country-specific publications include the Hong Kong & China Report, EMEA Hotels Monitor, and Rider Digests and updates for Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA and more, available from the RLB Publication hub.
