by Brianna Crandall — October 16, 2017 — Rinnai Corporation, manufacturer of a popular brand of tankless gas water heaters sold in North America, recently announced it will be the first to manufacture tankless gas water heaters in North America.
Rinnai America Corporation, a subsidiary of Rinnai Corporation in Nagoya, Japan, plans to build its first North American manufacturing facility in Griffin, Georgia. The company intends to start its manufacturing and assembly operations in an existing factory in Griffin in April 2018 and then move these operations to a new 300,000-square-foot facility that Rinnai will construct. Rinnai will produce both residential and commercial products in Griffin.
The company noted that many Americans want to see more job creation in the United States, and consumers and trade professionals see the importance of purchasing and installing domestically produced products, which help spur the U.S. economy.
Rinnai says this move, along with its recently announced headquarters expansion in Peachtree City and upcoming launch of a North America Innovation and Training Center, demonstrate the company’s commitment to driving the growth of the tankless water heater market in North America.
Frank Windsor, chief operating officer (COO), stated:
Rinnai America is fully committed to its corporate vision of “Enhancing lives by changing the way water is heated.” This new Rinnai manufacturing facility will further strengthen our capability of bringing the comfort and energy efficiency of tankless water heating technology to families in North America.
Rinnai’s manufacturing operations will complement its growing presence in the Atlanta area. The Griffin operations are in proximity to Rinnai’s North American headquarters in Peachtree City and to Atlanta Motor Speedway, where Rinnai leverages its branding via its multi-year sponsorship of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Rinnai 250 race, showcases product installations, and entertains over 2,000 plumbing and contractor professionals each year.
Commercial tankless gas water heaters
Rinnai says its commercial water heaters Duo Hybrid Commercial Water Heating Systems supply commercial buildings with an “endless” supply of hot water while users save thousands in operational and life cycle costs. Designed with durable components like high-performance heat exchangers, Rinnai tankless water heaters are said to deliver performance and dependability for even the most demanding applications.
Rinnai’s commercial freestanding Tankless Rack System (TRS) is designed as a fully-assembled, comprehensive water-heating solution for commercial applications. The TRS includes preassembled connections for water and gas, as well as properly sized manifolds mounted beneath each tankless water heater to maintain optimum performance.
