by Shane Henson — June 5, 2013—Rowe Contracting Service Inc., a full-service facilities operations company, recently announced that it was awarded a five-year contract to provide janitorial services at Marine Base Quantico, Virginia. Known as the “Crossroads of the Marine Corps,” the base sits on more than 100 square miles and includes over 100 buildings.
As part of its bid for this large contact, Rowe Contracting formed a joint venture and partnered with New Mexico-based Native Resource Development Company Inc., an 8(a) certified company. The combination of Rowe’s GSA Schedule 03FAC (facilities, maintenance and management) contract, and Native Resource’s 8(a) Small Business Certification offered procurement officers an ideal combination of governmental vetting that facilitated the contract award, says Rowe Contracting.
“We’re delighted with our partnership and pleased with the resulting contract award; partnering with different companies affords us an opportunity to bid and secure work that neither company can secure on their own,” said Scott E. Rowe, president of Rowe Contracting Service.
Rowe Contracting offers complete facilities and logistics support services. By deploying a computerized project management information system, the company offers its clients full coverage 365 days per year, and ensures consistency and safeguards continuity. Rowe also provides all key personnel, including program managers, property managers, supervisors, administrative support personnel, project managers, quality control personnel, security personnel, and engineers.
