by Brianna Crandall — December 24, 2010—The Russia Green Building Council, a Prospective Member of the World Green Building Council, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Passive House Institute Russia at the recent international exhibition Hi Tech Building 2010 during a discussion session devoted to promoting green building in Russia.
The two organizations are joining efforts to stimulate the development of green building in Russia by spreading information about modern innovations in the sphere of energy efficiency, exchanging experiences in green building implementation, and organizing green building events.
RuGBC said it considers this cooperation agreement a strategically important step for the growth of the green technologies market in Russia, since the Passive House Institute is practically the only organization in Russia that develops construction technologies of passive houses and buildings with low-energy consumption.
The rise of sustainable building has only just begun in Russia and demands specific solutions that can be implemented immediately, said RuGBC.
