by AF 0506 g5 — May 11, 2009—Espanola General Hospital, in northern Ontario, chose the Salto Virtual Network (SVN) system to replace all cut keyed mechanical locks and electronic and mechanical pin pad locks.

The hospital required a highly secure and reliable solution that could be customized to meet its specific security needs. Salto met the need with its XS4, which requires no hard wiring and provides a totally wire-free networked locking solution. This enabled the hospital to turn its existing doors into fully featured access control doors without compromising comfort, convenience, security or control.

In addition, the many advantages of the Salto Virtual Network provides the hospital with the functionality to update, restrict or delete locks and key cards remotely as required, and access profiles can be changed rapidly to accommodate any security situation.

Another feature of the Salto system is its expandability, notes the company. As the hospital grows and changes, it can add additional Salto locks easily and quickly. The locks are top quality, system management is easy.
