Security Management to publish first full digital edition

by Shane Henson — February 6, 2012—ASIS International, an association dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals worldwide, has announced that its award-winning magazine, Security Management, will publish its first digital edition in May.

Each month, Security Management features in-depth analysis and news on a range of critical issues, including computer security, global risk management, loss prevention, pre-employment screening and business continuity planning.

Designed exclusively for digital delivery, the new, fully interactive format combines narrative text, videos, graphics, slide shows and expandable charts to provide greater detail and heighten the reader’s experience, say the magazine’s editors. A prototype sample, featuring a typical monthly “Homeland Security” department and a feature article, can be accessed online.

For ASIS members, the digital editions will offer full interactivity. A public version will also be available for nonmembers. A second digital edition is planned for November 2012 publication. Security Management will remain primarily a print publication, says ASIS. However, on occasion, as suitable material is available, additional digital editions will be released.
