by Shane Henson — March 29, 2013—Through its unique user-controlled parametric design and building system, Seeyond Architectural Solutions recently installed two series of curved office walls for two companies—one featuring lighting and openings for monitors, and another featuring lighting and mobility.

A medical-technology services firm in Overland Park, Kansas, needed a dramatic entrance to its customer learning center. Seeyond created a series of four curved walls featuring lighting, patterned lensing, and fenestrations for the placement of monitors. The wall installations line the wide hallway that customers explore as they approach a new technology-learning space. These vivid walls draw guests into education events and visually engage them throughout their approach, says Seeyond.

A cloud-computing services firm in Pleasanton, California, required a series of curved walls featuring mobility. The walls needed to easily be moved depending on the nature of the particular learning experience. Seeyond created a series of lit and curved walls with hidden casters. The installation serves as the backdrop for customer and employee education events, the company explains. These mobile walls can be configured by anyone throughout the day for learning and meeting areas as the need arises.

Seeyond Architectural Solutions delivers a comprehensive approach that integrates the design, manufacturing and installation of architectural specialty features—walls, wall facings, ceiling clouds, partial enclosures, and columns—including non-loadbearing office walls and partitions, lobby features, reception areas, work spaces, and wall-to-ceiling transitions. Their proprietary system provides total control of the outcome and an empowered sense of risk-free design freedom for commercial architects and designers creating new spaces or working with facilities managers and office managers to enhance existing ones.

Seeyond is driven by parametric-design software called the Tess Specification Tool, which is patent pending. The Seeyond solution proves to be an ideal approach for efficiently creating organic shape and complex form. Designers can access Tess through custom one-on-one online design sessions with Seeyond.

The company has assisted many other businesses and organizations in creating differentiated spaces. Typical market segments for Seeyond include hospitality, office, and retail environments. The average time from design through installation is reportedly less than two months.
