by Brianna Crandall — November 28, 2018 — Temperature management is an important part of environmental control for many operations — from office buildings, hotels, greenhouses and medical facilities to cold storage units in the commercial food and pharmaceutical industries.
To help facilities management (FM) personnel ensure that conditions stay within required parameters, US-based remote monitoring products manufacturer Sensaphone now offers a Local Temperature Display device that provides an at-a-glance reading of the current temperature, as well as the minimum and maximum temperatures.
The Local Temperature Display is suitable for any location where on-site staff need a quick, convenient visual reading of the sensor data, saving them the time of checking the monitoring system’s data logs. The device can be used with all Sensaphone 2.8k-type temperature sensors.
It displays the highest and lowest temperatures, provides an audible alarm for out-of-range temperatures, and offers a relay output that can be programmed to turn on a light or siren for additional on-site alarm notifications.
When the temperature falls out of the programmed high and low limits, the display triggers an audible alarm, immediately alerting the on-site staff of a potential problem. This alarm is in addition to the alerts that the Sensaphone monitoring system sends to designated personnel when temperatures fall out of range.
