Serco to provide global communications systems for U.S. Army

by Shane Henson — October 23, 2013—Serco Inc., a provider of professional, technology, and management services and the Americas division of international services company Serco Group, announced earlier this week that it obtained a new multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide global communication systems for the U.S. Army. Serco was selected as one of 12 companies to compete for tasks on the Communications and Transmission Systems (CTS) contract.

Per the contract, Serco will provide design, procurement, installation, and testing services in support of delivering global, mission-critical communication systems. The company will utilize its experience in the areas of engineering, operations and maintenance, and lifecycle management services to provide network communications solutions for the United States’ expeditionary warfighters.

This contract builds on Serco’s relationship with the U.S. armed forces. Serco currently provides communication system solutions to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Utilizing its command, control, communications, computers, collaboration, and intelligence expertise, the company delivers engineering, systems integration, hardware procurement, software development, technical support, installation and testing, operations, and maintenance solutions.
