by Shane Henson — November 9, 2012—Shaw Contract Group, a division of global carpet manufacturer Shaw Industries and subsidiary of multinational holding company Berkshire Hathaway, has launched a collection of carpet tile to give interior designers and facilities managers with a flair for design the ability to install tiles in any configuration they choose.
Aptly called No Rules, the collection features four new patterns in eight colors, offering unique color overlay patterning and gradations. The installation configuration changes the depth and color blending of each pattern, says Shaw Contract Group.
The collection was also designed to be as sustainable as it is versatile. No Rules products use EcoWorx tile backing, which contains 44 percent recycled content, is completely recyclable, and is Cradle-to-Cradle Silver certified, the company adds. Under Shaw’s Environmental Guarantee, the company will pick up any EcoWorx product at the end of its useful life and recycle it for free.
According to Shaw Contract Group, there is no need to store a stock of replacement tiles for the No Rules collection since mergeable dye lots allow selective replacement.
Each pattern is available through the company’s Quick Ship program, so orders of up to 2,500 yards will be shipped in two weeks or less, says Shaw Contract Group.
