Six more utilities join EnergyMiser rebate program

by Rebecca Walker — October 24, 2008—USA Technologies announced that six more energy utilities had signed on to its EnergyMiser Rebate and Turnkey Program, which helps customers lower energy consumption and cost.

As part of their conservation efforts, fifty-five energy utilities in the United States are now offering USA Technologies’ EnergyMiser energy conservation technology to their customers for free, or at reduced cost through rebates. Thirty-three utilities joined in just the past year.

“Energy costs are forecasted to rise by as much as 20 percent this winter, and our EnergyMiser energy conservation technology has the capability of reducing energy consumption by as much as 46 percent,” said Wendy Jenkins, Vice President of Marketing, USA Technologies. “We are excited to be working with energy utilities that recognize the importance of conservation technology and offer the EnergyMiser as a product that makes a difference.”

The latest utilities to join the rebate and turnkey program include Alliant Energy of Iowa, Ameren of Illinois, Groton Utilities of Connecticut, Bozrah Light & Power Company of Connecticut, MidAmerican Energy of Iowa and Tucson Electric Power Company of Arizona.

In addition, three utilities already participating in the rebate program have increased or extended their rebate offerings—the City of Palo Alto, California; Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, California; and Silicon Valley Power, of California.
