by Brianna Crandall — November 3, 2010—Sodexo, provider of on-site service solutions, has extended its contract with glass manufacturer Pilkington to provide a full range of hard and soft facilities management (FM) services at eight of the company’s UK sites.
The multi-million pound contract calls for Sodexo to provide a fully integrated FM service to Pilkington including mechanical and electrical (M&E), security, catering, cleaning, building and grounds maintenance, and sewerage management services.
Sodexo’s partnership with Pilkington started 20 years ago with catering services at two of Pilkington’s sites. Now, Sodexo is providing services to around 2,200 employees at six sites in the St Helen’s area, including the company’s head office in Lathom, one site in Merseyside and one in Salford.
