by AF 0111 g5 — January 13, 2010—Food and facilities management provider Sodexo has added the health and fitness business Nuffield Health Group to its portfolio of clients. The five-year contract will see around 100 Sodexo employees providing food and beverage service at 15 Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing Centres around the United Kingdom. The contract is worth an estimated 2.6m a year, according to the announcement.
Sodexo’s Be.Active offer, which will provide a selection of food and drinks to meet the lifestyle and preferences of the users of the centres, is a perfect fit for Nuffield Health’s vision to offer at Fitness & Wellbeing Centres, which provide services including spas, health assessments and fitness advice.
Sodexo was awarded a five-year contract in 2007 to provide catering at 30 Nuffield Health hospitals. Sodexo says the success of that contract led to an additional relationship with Nuffield Healths fitness division.
Sodexo employs 43,000 people in the U.K. and Ireland, providing food and facilities management services to clients at more than 2,300 locations in the corporate, education, healthcare, leisure and defense sectors.
