by Shane Henson — September 27, 2013—Seating manufacturer Stylex hopes to enhance the look and seating possibilities within facilities nationwide with the addition of stools to complement two of its successful chair collections—Brooks and Allround. Stylex says the chairs, which “fuse timeless design with intense versatility,” are now available as bar- and counter-height stools, adding to the already broad range of settings in which these lines can be specified.
“We’ve been pleased with the reaction to the Brooks and Allround chairs and wanted to respond to our customer base by providing them with stools,” Stylex President John Golden explains. “Both collections feature extremely clean and contemporary lines that translate well to complementary stools.”
The versatile Brooks chair was engineered to combine clean, modern design elements with contemporary thinking about multiuse applications. Designed by internationally respected designer Paul Brooks, it is said to be a fresh, flexible seating solution. The stackable Brooks chair is available in a range of models, including fully upholstered, plastic seat/back, upholstered seat/plastic back, and upholstered seat/wood back. Both the chairs and stools are available with or without arms.
Stylex’s Allround collection exemplifies sophisticated simplicity. Iskos-Berlin created a simple yet highly functional chair based on a clean aesthetic. The resulting Allround is both elegant and flexible, the perfect option for any architectural setting, says Stylex. Allround achieves its appeal in a “beguilingly simple” fashion, with a contemporary frame of round steel tubing and a plywood seat shell contoured for comfort.
Founded in 1956 by the Golden family, Stylex focuses its efforts on the modern office environment, with careful consideration given to balancing aesthetics, value, ergonomics, and green technology. All Stylex products are engineered to meet GREENGUARD Children and Schools and Indoor Air Quality certification, and use 100% chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-free foam and low or no volatile organic compound (VOC) adhesives.
