Sustainable Industries magazine names top 10 green building products

  • Aqus Greywater System, made by Sloan Valve Co.;

  • Acrovyn 4000, made by Construction Specialities Inc.;

  • Control4 Energy Management System, made by Control4 Energy;

  • Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard, made by QA Graphics;

  • Energy Recovery Ventilator, made by Building Performance Equipment;

  • Second Glass, made by Second Glass;

  • Solatube Daylighting Systems, made by Solatube International;

  • Strand Poplar Flooring, made by EcoTimber;

  • Ultimate Pervious Pavement, made by Evolution Paving Resources; and

  • Warmboard, made by Warmboard Inc.

Aqus Greywater System was praised for its relative simplicity and low cost. It is a small-scale water reuse system based on the premise that using fresh water to flush a toilet is unnecessary and wasteful. The Control4 Energy Management System is a hardware and software package that connects utilities to customers. The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard is an interactive interface that provides education about a buildings green efforts. The Energy Recovery Ventilator reduces HVAC costs by preconditioning outside air.
