TAC completes transformation, is now buildings business of Schneider Electric

by Rebecca Walker — October 5, 2009—Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and security solutions, announced it has completed the strategic transformation of TAC as its Buildings Business.

Schneider Electric is now poised to directly offer customers a full range of solutions across its core competencies of power, data centers, industrial automation, building management and security. This convergence enables customers worldwide to realize optimal energy and security efficiencies, and the associated savings in capital and operating expenses, says the company.

“This brand migration is more than just a name change; this is a new way of approaching our energy management business and customers’ needs,” said Chris Curtis, president and CEO of Schneider Electric’s Buildings Business. “Establishing the Buildings Business as the center for one of Schneider Electric’s core competencies is a major companywide initiative. We can now take multiple solutions from our comprehensive portfolio through one seamless customer interface to become a single-source energy management provider.”

TAC employees are spreading the word about the brand migration to Schneider Electric. In this video, they bring the change to life with something as simple as their business cards.
