Telework Exchange honors agencies, individuals demonstrating the best in government telework

by Shane Henson — May 14, 2012—Telework Exchange, a public-private partnership focused on demonstrating the tangible value of telework, recently announced the recipients of its Tele-Vision Awards, created to recognize excellence in government telework programs as well as agency accomplishments and individual contributions to telework success.

Through the awards, the organization hopes to increase awareness about the many benefits of allowing employees to work from home, which include less highway congestion; less electricity use and lower energy expenditures for companies with fewer employees working within the office; and, as employees working for both large and small companies have stressed, increased employee productivity.

An independent panel of judges composed of professionals from government and affiliate organizations with experience funding, implementing, managing, and maintaining telework programs for public-sector organizations selected the Telework Exchange 2012 Tele-Vision Award winners.
