Telework Exchange presents awards for government, education telework programs

by Shane Henson — July 11, 2011—Telework Exchange, a public-private partnership focused on eliminating telework gridlock, recently announced the recipients of the sixth annual Tele-Vision Awards at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The 2011 Tele-Vision Awards Program recognizes excellence in government and education telework programs, including agency accomplishments and individual contributions to telework success. An independent panel of judges, composed of professionals from government and affiliate organizations with experience funding, implementing, managing, and maintaining telework programs for public-sector organizations, selected the Telework Exchange 2011 Tele-Vision Award winners. Winners include:

  • Federal Telework Program Honorable Mention—U.S. General Services Administration
  • Excellence in Telework Leadership—Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force. Program: Headquarters Air Force Telework Program
  • Innovative Application of Technology to Support Telework—Department of Defense. Program: Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program
  • Best New Telework Initiative—Air Force Central Adjudication Facility (AFCAF). Program: AFCAF Telework Program
  • Telework Program with Maximum Impact on Government—National Institutes of Health. Program: NIH/Office of Human Resources Continuity of Operations Project
  • State and Local Government Telework Program—Connecticut Department of Transportation. Program: Telecommute Connecticut
  • Telework Leadership in Higher Learning—Washington State University Extension. Program: Washington State University Division of Governmental Studies and Services Program for Digital Initiatives
  • Telework Driver Award—Rosanne Russo, Telework Coordinator for the Department of Justice/Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
