by Shane Henson — August 10, 2011—CyberMetrics Corporation, a provider of maintenance management, calibration management and supplier QA software solutions, has announced Terumo Medical’s deployment of its FaciliWorks CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) software.
Terumo began using FaciliWorks Desktop in 2002 and recently upgraded to FaciliWorks 8i Server to manage “everything from inspection, measuring and test equipment to heavy duty machine shop equipment, test fixtures, vehicles and buildings” across multiple facilities with a single, centralized database, resulting in increased asset uptime, decreased costs and improved efficiency.
FaciliWorks is a CyberMetrics flagship product serving a diverse customer base regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) including Fortune 1000 companies within medical device manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage and health services. FaciliWorks CMMS enables medical device manufacturers such as Terumo to employ a complete computerized work order and preventative maintenance system while simultaneously upholding the regulatory requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 by way of:
- FaciliWorks CMMS third-party certified compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11;
- Enhanced password and user security credential handling;
- Electronic signature-based work order and preventive maintenance handling; and
- Advanced, comprehensive audit trail history of all transactions within FaciliWorks.
Terumo has deployed the software into all facilities, fulfilling their requirement for CMMS FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. For more information see the Terumo case study on the CyberMetrics Web site.
