The Structure Group, a software and consulting company for the deregulated energy industry, has expanded its nMarket to include the Southwest Power Pool market. nMarket SPP will assist market participants with bidding, scheduling, dispatching, and settlement of energy trades and ancillary services in the SPP market, currently scheduled to begin wholesale competition in December 2001.
Its features include the ability to create all data files required to operate in the SPP marketplace. In addition, nMarket SPP enables participants to receive settlement statements and invoices to determine if disputes should be filed, and to manage these disputes.
Power marketers who participate in the California, ERCOT, New England, and Ontario markets are currently using nMarket, which was introduced in 2000. Approximately 85% of the divested generation in Texas and 80% in California is either bid, scheduled, or settled through nMarket ERCOT and nMarket California.
