by Shane Henson — September 26, 2012—Workplace furniture manufacturer @theOffice recently launched a chair designed to make sitting down for long periods in the office a more pleasant experience. The company’s signature ONE Series chair is also striking from all sides, with a sculptural form. Inspiration from the human profile is evident in the outline. The fluid lines of the outer back support resemble a contemporary work of art. Although the style will impress workers, the feel and support of the chair combine to make it one of the best sitting chairs in the industry as well, says @theOffice.
The ONE Chair Series is offered in three models, including a high-back executive chair and a mid-back task chair along with a matching guest model. The high-back executive model features a unique headrest integrated into the sculptural frame. With both height and pivot adjustments, the headrest easily configures to cradle the head and neck for true support and comfort.
This full-feature ONE Series has height-adjustable arms with comfort-foam arm pads that adjust in every direction. The extra broad seat has a seat slider for adjustable depth, height adjustment, synchro-tilt mechanism and tilt-lock feature that provides the user any number of comfortable seating combinations throughout the day.
The seat mechanisms are lever-cable systems for effortless fingertip adjustments, and a tilt-tension control knob is located within easy reach. A sliding adjustable lumbar back-support pad provides the ability to find the perfect contour for a user’s unique support. The solid materials and construction make this chair suitable for big and tall applications, too, notes @theOffice.
