by Ann Withanee — October 20, 2010—Kimball Office announce the availability of two new lounge series, Villa and Enjoy, and both complement offices and facilities looking for open plan and private office solutions.
“Our two new lounge collections provide end users the ability to easily transition between spaces,” said Allen Parker, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Kimball Office. “The Villa lounge is similar to building blocks, in that the more than 20 interchangeable pieces can be used to design and later reconfigure solutions that meet changing demands.”
Villa complements the way people work by integrating comfort, functionality, contemporary style, and simple design. A unique feature of the series is the ability to create free-form lounge configurations to meet the needs for multiple niches, distinct groups, or individuals. This versatility is ideal for universities, health care facilities, government agencies, open plans, reception areas, lobbies, and team-oriented companies.
Villa’s interchangeable components connect to form small, medium, or large arrangements. One-, two-, and three-seat lounges, with and without one or both arms, benches and ottomans, and wedges and corner units are easily linked.
Freestanding tables, as well as plateaus, tablet arms, and optional arm caps, available in laminate or wood finish, provide flexibility and utility for gathering spaces. A full range of upholstery and leather options are offered with the choice to upholster backs, arms, and seats separately to delineate space through color.
Enjoy features high, inward-sloped arms to provide comfortable support and ease movement in and out of the seat. The seat and back cushions cradle the body and offer added support for short and long-term sitting. The Enjoy series includes one-, two-, and three-seat lounges with arms, a wide range of leather and upholstery options, and multiple finish choices for the legs.
Villa and Enjoy were designed using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Design for the Environment (DfE) standards and may contribute towards U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits. Orders for the new seating products began Oct. 15.
