by Brianna Crandall — May 28, 2018 — UG2, a rapidly growing provider of integrated facilities services and solutions, has signed a multi-year agreement to provide comprehensive green janitorial and ancillary services at Stanford University.
UG2 is servicing Stanford University’s academic facilities with 230 employees, working in 215 buildings, which encompass approximately 5.5 million square feet of cleanable space. UG2 says it was able to seamlessly transition within six weeks.
UG2 programs and equipment introduced at Stanford include:
- Supply chain expertise for all aspects of the facility service program in order to implement best practices, and industry-leading technology, tools and methods;
- A sustainable, limited-waste, chemical system that works independently from the public water supply;
- Floor and carpet steam-cleaning systems and equipment to sustainably restore flooring and upholstered furniture; and
- Equipment to optimize floor scrubbing and refinishing.
UG2’s Chief Executive Officer Louis J. Lanzillo commented:

The contract was awarded by Stanford’s Land, Buildings and Real Estate department (LBRE) department, considered the operational core of the physical campus.

UG2 also recently signed a multi-year agreement to provide comprehensive green janitorial and ancillary services at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, as well as an additional multi-year agreement to provide comprehensive, integrated facilities management (IFM) services at the newly developed Cornell Tech Campus, a cutting-edge engineering campus being built on Roosevelt Island in New York City that is a joint academic venture between Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
