by Shane Henson — June 20, 2012—UGL Services, a provider of facilities maintenance services to customers in corporate real estate and a wide variety of markets, was recently awarded a five-year contract worth an estimated $10 million to provide custodial and event support services at Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins.
UGL Services full-time staff perform daily cleaning and detailing services for the stadium and outdoor areas. In addition, the company assigns additional staff for several ongoing events to ensure the facility is safe and clean at all times. The company has already introduced its UGL Services Green Cleaning procedures using nontoxic cleaning agents and has begun updating equipment with the most sustainable and environmentally advanced models.
“In searching for an outsource provider, we were looking for a company with broad experience in meeting the unique and challenging nature of sports stadium events management,” said Todd Boyan, Sun Life Stadium senior vice president of operations. “UGL Services offered that experience supported by strong references from well-respected sports and entertainment venue managers.
The Sun Life Stadium contract adds to UGL Services’ considerable portfolio of public venue clients where the company provides a wide range of standard facilities management services to sports and entertainment facilities, including football stadiums, baseball parks, hockey rinks and multisport facilities. Its services include maintenance, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, custodial, and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC). These core services are complemented with specialized sports and entertainment facility services that include complete stadium audio and visual services, as well as peak load game/event support. UGL Services also provides surface (turf) maintenance for playing and practice fields for major college/university facilities.
