by Brianna Crandall — April 1, 2011—Covington Realty Partners has selected UGL Services, a division of UGL Limited, to manage subcontractors that perform landscaping and sweeping as well as litter, trash and graffiti removal services at retail properties in Sugarland and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and six industrial properties in Des Moines, Iowa.
UGL Services received the contracts to provide centralized management for several regional subcontractors that operated under separate contracts at each of the properties. It is working closely with Covington management to continuously improve the exterior spaces at the properties.
UGL Services is applying its work order, inspection and reporting processes to all of the properties. Its supervisors oversee day-to-day operations and qualify, select and contract with specialized service providers as the needs arise for repairs to parking lots, signs, fences, poles, lighting and outdoor structures, as well as for other special projects.
“We faced the challenge of achieving consistent quality across several widespread properties that we manage,” commented Covington Vice President Property Management Steve White. “With UGL Services, we’re able to outsource to local service contractors and still work with a single, professional management team. This way we meet the quality and reporting standards that we and our investors expect.”
