The app has been upgraded to include powerful new features for managers of commercial facilities, with more access to control functions and detailed energy information, as requested by customers.
Now available for the iPhone—including iOS6—and the Android mobile platform, the app is tied to the company’s flagship product, eMonitor, a cost-effective, analytics-driven resource and asset management solution designed to monitor all uses and sources of energy while controlling energy-intensive equipment.
The eMonitor mobile app is the first in the industry to enable users to see real-time equipment operating profiles, says Powerhouse Dynamics. This allows, for example, a facilities manager who receives a report of a malfunctioning rooftop HVAC unit to immediately view the status of the unit via a smartphone to determine the best course of action for resolving the issue, saving valuable time.
The latest eMonitor app also includes a range of other new features, including support for Powerhouse Dynamics’ commercial thermostat that enables up to eight different set points per day, giving managers even greater ability to fine tune heating and cooling systems, the company says.
The new eMonitor mobile app is available to eMonitor users for download for the iPhone from the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play.
