by Shane Henson — September 7, 2012—USG Corporation, a global building products company, has introduced Bria ClimaPlus acoustical ceiling panels, providing excellent sound control, durability, and an attractive, sleek style to a variety of environments.
The panels are made with a cast process that enhances their surface appearance and provides excellent sound absorption and durability. With a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of .70 and a ceiling attenuation class (CAC) of up to 38, these lightly textured acoustical ceiling panels are ideal in settings such as classrooms, lobby areas, conference rooms, executive offices, retail stores, or transportation terminals, says USG.
Bria ClimaPlus panels have double the impact resistance of similarly textured ceiling panels as tested per ASTM C367, the company adds. With a thirty-year lifetime system warranty against visible sag, mold and mildew, these panels promise a long life span while also presenting an abuse-resistant surface that can be easily cleaned with a brush or vacuum.
“With their high acoustic values, Bria ClimaPlus provide an excellent combination of NRC and CAC where sound performance is critical,” says Susan Raneri, a USG product manager. “Also, with zero-VOC emissions, these panels help exceed the most stringent air quality standards, supporting our ongoing mission to meet or exceed the requirements of the industry’s most popular sustainability standards, including LEED.”
