VFA releases facilities capital planning software with map-based views of real estate assets

by Shane Henson — March 20, 2013—Real estate professionals and facilities managers can obtain a more accurate and clear picture of the many assets in their real estate portfolios through VFA.facility from VFA Inc., a provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management. VFA says its flagship software product offers map-based views of the assets in a real estate portfolio, integrating the latest technology from Esri, a provider of geographic information systems (GIS).

Based on asset selections or on the results of a search, VFA.facility customers can view asset locations on a map, color-coded based on the condition of each asset. Customers can access additional information and photos in the map view, and can link directly to a detailed asset record. The mapping features in VFA.facility are enabled by Esri’s ArcGIS API, and delivered as a Web service. Additional benefits of VFA.facility include the ability to:

  • Build compelling capital budgets for facilities renewal and deferred maintenance;
  • Validate and justify budgets based on condition data;
  • Execute capital plans with integration to procurement and work order systems; and
  • Manage and reduce capital asset costs.
