Visionhitech’s new cameras utilize Proxim’s latest chip technology

by Shane Henson — June 20, 2011—Pixim Inc., a provider of imaging chips for enterprise security cameras, announced that Visionhitech Americas Inc. has introduced new cameras integrating Seawolf, Pixim’s latest chip technology, which makes it easier for manufacturers to develop compact camera formats.

Visionhitech has developed a Seawolf-powered outdoor vandal dome (VD70D88) that is only 3″ in diameter as well as a dual-voltage, true day/night box camera (VC58D88).

Through Seawolf, Visionhitech’s new cameras offer 690 HTVL effective resolution and the industry’s proven best wide dynamic range, claims the company. In addition, Seawolf-based cameras require just 0.1 lux of illumination to produce usable, color images at a full 30 frames per second.
