Visual Workplace launches glow-in-the-dark floor safety tape

by Brianna Crandall — March 20, 2015—Organized workplace solutions provider Visual Workplace, Inc., recently introduced Glow Floor-Mark, a peel-and-stick, glow-in-the-dark safety product that helps building and vehicle personnel find their way in the dark, whether it is nighttime, during a power failure, a building fire filled with smoke, a natural disaster or other emergency.

Glow Floor-Mark glows brightest for the first 60 minutes, then fades to remain lightly visible for several hours in total darkness. The tape is light green when lights are on, and emits a green/yellow glow when lights are off.

Glow Floor-Mark has a thin, durable profile designed specifically for industrial environments where forklifts and floor-scrubbers may be in use. The product is effective for use near exits, passageways and staircases, and complies with OSHA Standard 1910.22(b)(2), which states, “Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked.”

“Creating smart floors is one of the fastest and easiest ways to enhance safety in your facility,” says Rhonda Kovera, Visual Workplace CEO. “Glow Floor-Mark Safety Tape creates visual communication that helps personnel to be safe even if visibility is hampered. And it is very cost-effective in terms of installation labor, maintenance and durability.”

The product is effective for use near exits, passageways and staircases, and complies with OSHA Standard 1910.22(b)(2).

According to Visual Workplace, Glow Floor-Mark has a unique adhesive formula designed to make removal fast and easy by simply pulling it up or lightly scraping it away. It is available in one-inch and two-inch-wide x 30-foot-long rolls, is in stock, and can purchased online.
