by Shane Henson — April 18, 2012—WAC Lighting, a provider of high-quality and energy-efficient decorative and task lighting lines, recently introduced its LEDme Line Voltage Step and Wall Lights, products the company expects building managers will find offer enhanced functionality ideal for safety and style on indoor and outdoor stairs, walls and other pathways.
The new LEDme Step and Wall Lights are offered in horizontal and circular scoop designs for a clean, seamless installation without any visible hardware. Easy to retrofit, square and rectangular-shaped Step and Wall Lights can be mounted to a single gang standard styled junction box. Round-shaped Step and Wall Lights are supplied with a special junction box. All of these styles can be direct wired without using an LED (light-emitting diode) driver or a transformer, says the company.
The luminaires also offer a wide beam angle for broad lighting distribution, and deliver balanced, consistent lighting free of shadows and glare, say the products’ designers. Constructed with a cast aluminum body, the new LEDme Step and Wall Lights operate on 120-volt line voltage systems and can be dimmed with an ELV dimmer. Equipped with a replaceable LED module, the luminaires minimize energy consumption and maintenance while extending their life to 40,000 hours.
Faceplates are available in white, bronze and brushed nickel designer finishes to coordinate with a variety of decors. The Step and Wall luminaires are IP66 rated and UL listed for wet locations and offered with WAC Lighting’s five-year product warranty.
In addition to these new offerings, other recently released products by WAC Lighting include:
- InvisiLED tape light featuring energy-saving display and accent lighting solution using the latest LED technology;
- Modernism, a collection of mouthblown opal glass energy-saving luminaires; and
