by Brianna Crandall — May 13, 2022 — WiredScore — the real estate industry’s certification company focused on assessing, certifying, and improving the digital connectivity and smart technology of today’s homes and offices globally — has just announced expansion of its Accredited Professionals (AP) Program into North America and the UK.
Initially launched in 2017 in France and live across Europe and Asia-Pacific, there are now over 650 WiredScore (global digital connectivity rating scheme) and SmartScore (global smart building certification) Accredited Professionals from 275 companies globally, including CBRE, Arup, Intelligent Buildings, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Lendlease and Savills. The company aims to partner with over 1,000 APs by 2023.
Arie Barendrecht, CEO and founder of WiredScore, shared:
We launched our Accredited Professionals program nearly five years ago to enable us to work with professionals who want to enhance their skills and make the world’s buildings smarter and better connected. Covid caused a surge in demand for safe and healthy workplaces, in turn boosting demand for tech that can enable them. We’re laser focused on empowering our APs to advise landlords on delivering world-class connectivity and smart technology.
About the WiredScore AP program
WiredScore and SmartScore Accredited Professionals serve as a key extension of the WiredScore team, benefitting from a suite of centralized training certification tools and exclusive events. The program has four specialties: WiredScore AP: Office (development), WiredScore AP: Office (occupied), WiredScore AP: Home, and SmartScore AP: Office. The accreditation training is delivered online, on-demand allowing individuals to complete it at their own pace. Upon completion of the exam, which takes place online at the end of the training, the AP is qualified to deliver certification services for a period of two years before reaccreditation.
Throughout the two-year period, APs receive ongoing in-market business development support to identify opportunities to deliver new value and services to their clients utilizing WiredScore and SmartScore certification. Additionally, WiredScore supports them in-market by continuing to promote WiredScore and SmartScore. APs receive continued support from WiredScore’s Building Technology Engineers to assist them in aiding their clients in achieving certification, plus continuous professional development opportunities through various exclusive online learning, webinars and networking events.
According to the company, the benefits of becoming a WiredScore Accredited Professional are endless, from delivering new value and services to their clients to creating a clear differentiator, and developing their knowledge and skills. APs are trusted experts advising clients who want to design future-ready developments and upgrade existing buildings to stand the test of time. WiredScore and SmartScore APs are at the cutting edge of in-building technology design. They have exclusive access to industry-leading training and webinars as well as WiredScore’s dynamic and forward-thinking network who could propel their development forward.
